Welcome to my online course, ‘The Landscape’. The purpose of this course is for you to learn to use paint in order to evoke a mood or atmosphere without copying an image exactly. The course is tailored more towards using oil paint but please feel free to use acrylics if you prefer. I will be teaching you how to loosen up and encouraging you to create your own style of painting. The course is suitable for both beginners and professionals. It is fun, relaxed and there is no pressure!<\/div>\n

The course is broken down into videos, images and text and you can stop and start as many times as you wish. It can be accessed from anywhere in the world and is designed to fit into your schedule. As it is an online course, there are a list of materials you will need to purchase before you begin so please email me if you are confused with anything. We will start with some experimental painting and then move on to a landscape followed by a seascape.<\/div>\n

I have listed below some art materials required for the course but you do not need to use the exact same brushes, brands of paints and tools that I do. I am tailoring this list towards oil painters but if you use acrylics, you will just need water instead of solvent (a spray bottle filled with water would work for some of the techniques)<\/span><\/p>\n

If you choose to use acrylics instead of oils, then you will not need the solvent or the oil but just water in a mug instead.<\/span><\/p>\n
